Your Story Belongs in the Record

For a civil rights organization, keeping the record is a duty. Numbers tell part of it. People tell the rest.

Our Impact Report is built on names: a returning citizen who came home in March and held a Class A commercial driver's license by June, founders who opened storefronts, families who kept their homes. Those stories remind the next person walking through our doors that the path is real.

If the Urban League of Greater Philadelphia was part of your story, we want to hear it, in your own words. A new job. A first home. A business that got its start. A second chance. A young person who found their footing. You can write it, record a short video on your phone, or simply tell us in an email.

Share as much or as little as you like. We will always ask before we publish anything, and you decide how your name and image appear.

Once an Urban Leaguer, always an Urban Leaguer.

I appreciate how personal stories can show the real impact of community support and second chances. Everyone has a different journey, and sometimes a little time to relax helps clear the mind. I enjoy playing Slope Rider, a fast-paced snow-riding game where I dodge trees and rocks on icy slopes and try to make it further with each run.
