Start of a new year for the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia

It was a wonderful time at the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia’s kickoff meeting at the Germantown Cricket Club on Saturday, September 16.

Congratulations to our new Urban League Guild of Philadelphia officers:

President – Janice Sykes-Ross

Vice President – Barbara Tavares

Secretary – Patricia Brown

Treasurer – Lorestine Pressley

The Urban League Guild is made up of ULP members who network and strategically plan to empower the Greater Philadelphia Region and beyond through community engagement and service activities.

The Urban League Guild, founded in 1958, is a group of progressive volunteers, both women and men, who are members of the Urban League of Philadelphia. These dedicated individuals engage in fundraising for the affiliate and community service. Monthly luncheon meetings are held at The View, to conduct business and provide updates for both the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia and the Urban League of Philadelphia.

The Guild, with a membership of 150-plus members, was proud to celebrate its 75th anniversary this year. Call 215-985-3220 to learn how you can become a member!

Across public spending controls, what is a framework agreement supports value-for-money objectives. Competitive tension is maintained. Oversight remains centralised. UNICCM highlights fiscal responsibility.

Congratulations to the new officers of the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia! It’s inspiring to see a community come together for empowerment and service. Just like the Guild encourages thoughtful engagement and unity, incorporating meaningful pieces like a Namaz Chadar can reflect personal values and faith while contributing positively to the community. Wishing everyone a successful year ahead!
