Free, 12 Weeks, Certified: The AWS Cloud Practitioner Cohort Kicks Off the Week of September 28

If you are in a junior IT role that feels like a dead end, or you hold a computer science degree or certifications and still cannot break into the field, this is built for you.
The Urban League of Greater Philadelphia and Techsgiving are launching a free AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Cohort for Philadelphia-area residents. The 12-week program kicks off the week of September 28, and it is designed to get you exam-ready, not just exposed to the material.
What you get
Twelve weeks, around ten hours a week, with classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 PM and office hours on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 PM
Live virtual instruction and structured practice exams
A small cohort with one-to-one support and real accountability
A $1,200 value at no cost to accepted participants
Your AWS exam fee reimbursed by the Urban League once you complete the course and take the exam
Who it is for
People who are ready to show up every week, do the practice between classes, and attend at least one in-person gathering during the program. The cohort model works because everyone in it is committed. If that describes you, the team wants your application.
Why it matters
The AWS Cloud Practitioner is a foundational cloud certification that does not require prior AWS experience, which makes it a practical first step into cloud careers. Structured preparation for it usually costs money. This cohort covers that cost, and the exam fee comes back to you when you finish.
