Free, 12 Weeks, Certified: The AWS Cloud Practitioner Cohort Starts September 28

If you are in a junior IT role that feels like a dead end, or you hold a computer science degree or certifications and still cannot break into the field, this is built for you.

The Urban League of Greater Philadelphia and Techsgiving are launching a free AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Cohort for Philadelphia-area residents, starting September 28. It is designed to get you exam-ready, not just exposed to the material.

What you get

  • Twelve weeks, around ten hours a week

  • Live virtual instruction and structured practice exams

  • A small cohort with one-to-one support and real accountability

  • A $1,200 value at no cost to accepted participants

  • Your AWS exam fee reimbursed once you complete the program milestones

Who it is for

People who are ready to show up every week and do the practice between classes. The cohort model works because everyone in it is committed. If that describes you, the team wants your application.

Why it matters

Cloud skills are among the most in-demand credentials in the region, and the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is a recognized first step into cloud careers. For many participants, the barrier has never been ability. It has been access to structured, affordable preparation. This cohort removes that barrier.
