The Urban League Guild, founded in 1958, is a group of progressive volunteers, both women and men, who are members of the Urban League of Philadelphia. These dedicated individuals engage in fundraising for the affiliate and community service.  Monthly luncheon meetings are held at The View, to conduct business and provide updates for both the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia and the Urban League of Philadelphia.

The Guild, with a membership of 150 plus members, was proud to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2012.

The Annual Guild Signature Fundraiser, is one of our most successful events.  The Guild’s combined contribution for 2014 was $64,000 to help support the needed services provided by our affiliate the Urban League of Philadelphia.  At the 2014 National Urban League Conference, the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia was awarded first place for both largest affiliate contribution in the East Region and our community service.

The Guild currently provides clothing to a transitional shelter for women and children, awards two scholarships a year to high school students, volunteers for the ULP, and participates each year in a health initiative.
