The mission of the Urban League Entrepreneurship Center (ULEC) is to provide technical assistance, strategic planning and linkages to resources to help small businesses grow their financial and human capital.  Our goal is to empower entrepreneurs and to scale, resulting in increased sales, creation of new jobs, financing and a greater market presence in the region.

 

We follow an inside-out methodology to business growth by first challenging the business owners to expand their thinking, knowledge and experience. They begin to discover self-imposed limitations and become willing to step outside of your their comfort zone. Next we help establish realistic goals and craft an action plan for achieving them to hit key milestones and measure success. Finally, we play an active role in building capacity by examining the business from top to bottom, identifying areas of improvement and connecting the entrepreneur with the appropriate resources to achieve sustainable, improved results.
