| Keystone Mercy At the core of Keystone Mercy's success is its mission. In addition to providing access to quality health care for its members, Keystone Mercy partners with the communities it serves. Through participation in neighborhood functions and community outreach events, Keystone Mercy makes a difference in the areas where our members live. We lend our support and work with groups who address social issues that affect health care, such as homelessness, violence prevention, unemployment and education.
Rebuilding Together Philadelphia
Rebuilding Together Philadelphia is a volunteer-driven organization that makes essential repairs for low-income homeowners in the city's most fragile neighborhoods. Leveraging the efforts of 1,000 volunteers, every dollar contributed for materials and other expenses is transformed into $5 worth of services for homeowners who are helped at no charge. Since 1988, nearly 550 homeowners have received more than $15 million worth of repairs in the Philadelphia area. RTP is a high-impact organization.
Keystone Mercy has been active with this organization for the past nine years. Again, this year the Keystone Mercy Team, consisting of associates and family members, worked on houses in North Philadelphia. These houses required clean-up and small renovations to provide a warm, safe and dry environment for the residents. Attached are the two teams that worked in 2004.
