The Urban Leadership Forum, founded in 1988, is Philadelphia’s first leadership development program dedicated to providing an environment for people of color to gain access to the area’s most influential leaders, build and maintain a productive network of relationships, strengthen their personal brand, develop the critical tools necessary to lead change in their organization, and create opportunities for others through a community service project.
Over 500 participants have completed the program since its inception and many of these alumni are well-known leaders in the Greater Philadelphia corporate, non-profit and public sectors.
The Urban Leadership Forum is a seven month program. The program uses self-awareness tools and activities to enhance leadership capabilities. Participants will learn strategies for continuous development through self-assessment, lectures and
discussions with top leaders within the region, group discussions, self-reflection, small group activities and personal coaching.
