Leading the Charge: Bobby Keyes

As Chairman of the Board of The Urban League of Philadelphia, I can see the impact that the organization makes on the lives of the people we serve.  For me, personally, nothing compares to the excitement of awarding college scholarships to high school students at our annual Empowerment Week Gala.  As board chair, I challenged our directors to raise $100,000 in 2012 to provide scholarships, and they surpassed that amount. As future doctors, lawyers and scientists come to the podium on the night of the Gala, I know that the future is changing before my eyes.
